Welcome to the 6th edition of the Meta Report! This report is based on the Defense teams used on the 3V3 arena; as such, it only shows how much each pilot is used in this particular PVP mode. However, you can safely assume that the most popular pilots in this mode will also be showing up a lot in standard Arena and in Conquest Battle, making it a very useful data dump to know what you will be facing. Pilots at the top of this list are solid picks if you need to improve your PVP game, in any mode.
The data was obtained in the Global Server 1 between May 29th and June 5th. While I expect it to be the same on other Global servers, the Korea servers have three extra pilots that could certainly create a different meta. Creating a Meta Report for all the different servers is a big undertaking and I will only be doing that if enough people show interest. At the moment, it seems that interest in Meta Reports is too low to justify the effort.
Chiaki Rijn had a strong first week, with one in five of Rank 30 players using her in their teams. This pushed Rachel Stewart down, who finishes this week in barely over half the teams. Caroline Morrie also saw a slight increase in popularity. Elin Miller did not rebound and continues to be almost completely absent at higher ranks.
EL was on the Floating Shop last week and jumped noticeably in popularity, getting into the Top 10 at Rank 30. Betty Abigail continues to rise, and Tanya Brown saw a modest increase. Ariel Rossi saw a major loss in popularity this week in order to accomodate those attack pilots; while she has rebound in the past, she never crashed this hard before. Min Youn-hyun and Ilayda Mahn continue to slowly drop, for the same reasons.
After being stable for a week, Serena Cooper resumed her climb and is now in over 60% of all Rank 30 teams.
Only the top 15 pilots are shown by default. Click here to show all of them.
Chiaki Rijn wasted no time and started her first week in Wave 1, which is unusual. She knocked out Lisa Silverstone, a VIP12 pilot, which is even more unusual, and might be an indicator that she's here to stay. Petra Strycova comfortably takes the lead this week, with over half of all teams at Rank 30 tanking advantage of her ability to disable random units at the beginning of the fight.
Enomoto Tsubasa used to be a staple of the first wave, but has slowly migrated to the second wave, possibly in order to dodge both Petra Strycova silencing her, and Bibi Olin negating her damage. Jung E-young has similarly found her home here, providing a damage buff to the second wave where it might help to take out the remnants of the first attack wave as quickly as possible.
Third wave remains the most varied, though you are still more likely to find Rachel Stwart tanking and Rose Ludlum healing, with damage provided by Tanya Brown, Ilayda Mahn and Min You-hyun. But hiding Yuliya Lim or Bibi Olin in the third wave with Betty Abigail helping to neutralize attacking units seems to be a popular strategy this week.
